This tutorial shows how to assign items of specific portfolio category to a page in CherryFramework 4.x.

CherryFramework 4. How to assign Portfolio category to page

Please note in CherryFramework 4 only Portfolio page includes filter. Portfolio page with one of several categories assigned to it won’t inherit filter or the same animation.

  1. Navigate to WordPress admin panel, go to Pages -> Add New. Click the Insert Shortcode button at the top of the page editor and select Content shortcode type. Select Posts in order to insert Portfolio posts of specific category to a page:

  2. You will see a popup window with the shortcode settings available. Select Portfolio in Post type. Choose Portfolio Categories in the Taxonomy field. Select one or more categories in the Terms field:

  3. Now when main fields for categories are filled out, you can work with other shortcodes fields or leave them as they are. Click the Insert Shortcode button at the bottom of popup.

  4. Click the Publish or the Update button and check changes on the page.
