CherryFramework 4. How to deal with missing header and footer menus on home page
June 21, 2016
The header and footer menus may be missing on the website after the parent theme (CherryFramework4) upgrade. This tutorial is going to show you how to deal with this problem.
We can manage these 2 blocks, header menu and footer menu, as well as the others (logo, header sidebar, search form, footer info and footer sidebars) with the help of a Static Area Builder.
Static Area Builder is available under Cherry admin panel menu item. Put your mouse cursor over the Cherry menu item and click the Static Area Builder link in the appeared dropdown menu.
With the drag’n’drop interface we should move the static item to the desired static area. In our case, we will move the Header menu to the Header Top static area.
By the way, if you click on the bucket icon, you can remove the static item from the area. Removed static items will still be available in the Available statics section.
At last we need to repeat the same action for the Footer menu and save statics.
Let’s refresh and visit the website, the menus have to reappear now.
