This tutorial is going to show you how to manage Blog categories in Drupal 7.x templates.

Each post in Drupal is assigned to specific category. This helps in navigation and allows posts to be grouped with others of similar content. Category block is displaying on the blog page:

1. To access the categories manager in Drupal, open the Drupal admin panel and click Structure -> Taxonomy:

   

2. Taxonomy page will be opened. You will see all available categories. Click on the list terms button next the category name to open the category list:

   

3. Click on Edit button in order to modify the category:

   

4. Enter/change category title, description, URL alias on the next screen:

   

   You can select parent term for your category under Relations section. And specify category Weight. That will help you to reorder categories. Terms are displayed in ascending order by weight:

   

In order to assign article to the category, go under Content tab in your Drupal admin panel. Edit one of the articles. Check category you would like your article to be assigned to under Blog categories section.
