Drupal 7.x. Content types overview

In this article we’ll provide an overview of the content types used in our Drupal 7.x templates. Any Drupal template can have various content types like pages, posts, news items, slides, etc.

Please note that your template may have another layout of particular content types as it depends on the template.

  1. You can check the list of content types under Structure -> Content types menu.

  2. Content type Banner represents Company name, logo and additional info. It can be used in blocks like "Our partners", "Our clients", etc. Here is how Banner content type looks:

  3. Employee content type represents Employee’s photo and short summary regarding the Employee. It can be used in blocks like "Our team", "Our staff", etc. Below we can see Our staff module that uses Employee content type.

  4. FAQ content type represents content in Question-Answer form. Such content type is being used on FAQ pages. Here is how FAQ content type looks:

  5. Map content type represents company address and info about the company. Such content is represented by Google map on Contact page.

  6. Portfolio item content type represents header, image and some info. Such content type is being used on pages like "Portfolio", "Gallery", etc. Here is how Portfolio item content type looks:

  7. Service content type represents header, image and summary of info. It can be used in blocks like "Services", etc.

  8. Slide content type represents slider on Home page. Here is how Slide content type looks:

  9. Testimonial content type represents testimonials. Such content type can be used in blocks like "Testimonials", "What people say about us". Here is how testimonials content type looks in our template:

  10. Go to Content -> Add content in order to add node of appropriate content type. Click on particular content type and fill out appropriate fields.
