How to add a new menu button

This tutorial shows how to add new menu button in Joomla. All changes will be done in Joomla admin panel so you don’t need any programming skills to do this.

First of all please open Joomla admin panel and go to Menus > your_menu (in the menus list you can see all available menus and you are free to add new buttons to any of them.)

Usually the menu that is displayed on your Joomla website is called Top Menu or Main Menu.

When you opened the menu click the New button in the top right corner.

At the appeared screen select the menu type. You can learn more about menu types from the Joomla documentation

When the menu type is selected input the menu title and configure it. Click Save button to keep your changes.
