How to manage (change and load) fonts
November 15, 2010
A special component called FontManager is used for managing fonts. With its help fonts are loaded from .swf files which, by default, are located in the “fonts” folder. All the fonts to be loaded are described in fontsLibrary.xml file, it can be found in the same “fonts” folder . The current font can be changed by replacing .swf files of the previous one, leaving old names, or by adding new files with successive editing fontsLibrary.xml, where library file name is specified in the URL parameters. To add a new font new .swf files should be transferred to the “fonts” folder, and necessary changes should be done in fontsLibrary.xml file as well, using the same format. To make a new font appear in a template it is necessary to edit content of tfile_main.xml where with the help of <FONT FACE=”Tahoma”> html tag text font can be changed. Creation of .swf font library files and additional lib require using Flash IDE. See also: How to use FontLibraryCreator demo movie
