How to create custom excerpt

This tutorial will show you how to create custom excerpt in WordPress

The post excerpt is used in WordPress for the blog format pages like Category Archive, Search results, Default Front Page etc. By default the excerpt displays limited number of symbols from the post, starting from it’s very beginning

To create custom excerpt:

1. Open WordPress admin panel

2. Select the post you want to edit.

3. Open Screen options and make sure the Excerpt block is enabled.

4. Find the Excerpt Block on the screen and type your custom excerpt content.
