Hello, Our support team is ready to present you a new tutorial that shows how to create custom posts types in WordPress.

Custom post types are content types in WordPress, just like posts and pages

The easiest way to create a custom post type in WordPress is by using a plugin

  1. First, you need to install and activate the Custom Post Type UI plugin

  2. After activating a plugin, you will see a new menu item in your WordPress admin panel – CPT UI

  3. Navigate to CPT UI > Add/Edit post Types to create a new custom post type.

  4. Provide new post type title, label and click on the Add Post Type button to add your new custom post type. Feel free to also add additional information like description and configure other settings according to your needs

  5. The Custom Post Type UI plugin also allows you to create custom taxonomies

  6. You can navigate to CPT UI > Add/Edit Taxonomies for creating a custom taxonomy. You will need to provide the taxonomy slug and labels , attach the taxonomy to one of the existing post types
