You will need to change session lifetime setting. Session lifetime refers to how long an idle session is left open.

1. Log into your Joomla admin panel.

2. Navigate to System > Global configuration menu:

   

3. Switch to System tab:

   

4. Default setting for Session Lifetime is 15. The value you enter for Session Lifetime is in minutes.

5. Change the setting for Session Lifetime to the desired one and click “Save” button:

   

6. Now you have successfully changed admin panel timeout limit.
