Joomla 3.x. How to replace splash page with landing one

1. Log into your Joomla admin panel and navigate to Menus -> System menu section (open menu that appears with home icon near it, like on the screenshot below):

   

2. Set All menu items to appear on one page using dropdown in the top right screen corner.

3. Locate menu item marked with a golden star. It’s your current landing page (“Splash” one in this case). You can unpublish it or delete later if needed:

   

4. Let’s change it to “main page” for example. Navigate to Menus -> Main menu section or simply choose Main menu in the top dropdown. Then press on star icon near “main page” menu item title:

   

5. If all the steps were performed correctly, this star will become golden and “1 menu item successfully set to home.” message will appear. Check your site to see the changes applied:

   

6. This means that default landing page was successfully changed and you can continue editing your site now. Good luck!
