In this tutorial we are going to introduce you to possible ways to solve the Maximenu module permissions
issue in Joomla templates.

When this problem occurs, your top menus look like lacking CSS styles.

Example:

In order to solve this,

1. Using the file manager in your cpanel or any ftp program, connect to your FTP server, and check if permissions for the "templates" folder in your Joomla directory are set to 755.

If they are not, change them to 755. Refresh your web-page to check how your menus look. If the problem is still there, proceed to the next step*.

2. On your FTP, go to templates -> theme### (the numbers depend on your template) -> css -> themes -> default -> css and change permissions for maximenuH_CK.php and maximenuV_CK.php to 755. Check how your menus look. If the problem is still there, proceed to the next step.

3. In your Joomla directory on FTP go to modules -> mod_maximenuCK -> -> default -> css and change permissions for maximenuH_CK.php and maximenuV_CK.php to 755.

*In case, you are getting "550 Could not change perms on filenamehere.php: Operation not permitted", please contact your hosting provider.

Please, see the video tutorial below for some more information.
