The error might appear after creating a new user and assigning a wrong role to it:

Try to log out of your admin panel and log in again. In case this does not solve the problem, there are 2 ways of resolving the issue:

  1. Log out, log in with the other user login information.

  2. You will need to change the first user role. Navigate to System > Permissions > Users. Open the first user and change the user role:

Alternatively, you can reset the admin privileges:

  1. This can be done through the Magento admin area System > Permissions > Roles . Select the Role.

  2. Click on the Role Resources option from the left menu and make sure that Resource Access is set to All:

  3. Click on the Save Role button and the privileges will be reset.
