This tutorial shows how to enable SEO-friendly URLs in Magento.

Magento. How to enable SEO-friendly URLs

  1. To enable the Search Engines Friendly URLs in Magento, first log into your admin area and go to System -> Configuration:

    Magento_enable_SEO_friendly_URLs_1

  2. Click on the Web link in the left menu:

  3. On this page expand the Search Engine Optimization tab of options and set the Use Web Server Rewrites option to Yes:

    Click Save Config button.

You may also need to clear the cache.
