This tutorial will show you how to remove Blog link from footer links in Magento.

1. Log into your hosting account and navigate to the File manager:

   

2. Open app/design/frontend/default/themeXXX/layout folder, where XXX is your actual theme number.

3. Find aw_blog.xml file and click Edit button:

   

4. You should find and remove these lines:

   <reference name="footer_links">
   <block type="blog/blog" name="add.blog.footer">
   <action method="addBlogLink" ifconfig="blog/menu/footer"><param>footer</param></action>
   </block>
   </reference>

   

5. Click Save button to save changes:

   

6. Refresh your page in browser to see changes.
