This tutorial shows how to install Monstroid template on localhost.

Monstroid. How to install a template on localhost

  1. Make sure you have installed localhost software. In our case WAMP locahost software is installed. First, we should configure localhost settings. Click on WAMP server icon and access php.ini file inside PHP section:

  2. Now we should adjust configuration values. We should set the following configuration:

    max_execution_time = 90 
    max_input_time = 120 
    memory_limit = 256M 
    post_max_size = 256M 
    upload_max_filesize = 128M 
    

    You can find appropriate settings using search function of your editor. Find max_execution_time using search function of your editor and set it to 90. Perform the same changes to all configuration values:

  3. Save changes you have performed to php.ini file:

  4. Click on WAMP server icon and restart all services:

  5. Open template delivery page. You will find the License key and link to Monstorid wizard plugin. Download the plugin by clicking on link or opening link in a new window:

  6. Open WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins -> Add New. Click on Upload Plugin:

  7. Choose plugin we have downloaded previously and install it:

  8. Activate Monstroid Wizard plugin:

  9. Go to Tools -> Monstorid Wizard. We should enter activation key in order to start theme installation process:

  10. Activation Key is specified on template delivery page. Open the template download page and copy License key:

  11. Paste the activation key. Click Start in order to perform installation:

  12. We can see Monstroid Main theme and Child themes. Select theme you would like to install. We are going to install Monstroid Main Theme:

  13. We can see installation process. It may take some time till all files are be uploaded:

  14. Now we should select location of sample data. In most cases sample data should be uploaded from cloud:

  15. Sample data was downloaded from cloud. We can continue installation:

  16. Sample data installation is in progress:

  17. Theme and sample data were installed successfully:

  18. Please check your site:
