OpenCart 2.x. How to edit/change Required/Not Required checkout fields

In this tutorial you will learn how to make postal code required or not required field during checkout in OpenCart template(s):

opencart_make_postal_code_required_or_not_required_field1

  1. Log into your Admin panel and go to System >> Localization >> Countries.

  2. Click on the edit button in front of the Country that you wish to alter, in our example we will use Argentina:

    opencart_make_postal_code_required_or_not_required_field2

  3. On the next page, you will see Postcode Required option. Set it to No or Yes:

    opencart_make_postal_code_required_or_not_required_field3

  4. Note that this will work for a Register Account and for Guest Checkout options.

  5. Save your changes and check your site.
