osCommerce 2.3 New administration panel options

Recently our developers enhanced the OsCommerce 2.3 templates with new featured, functionality and administration panel options.

Maximum Values listing

New configuration options are available under Admin -> Configuration -> Maximum Values listing. Non-default options are marked with bold font.

Width of the block of a product

Width of a product block in pixels. Allows to set the product block width in product listing.

New Products Module To List Per Row

Allows you to set the amount of products displayed in a single row in New products listing 1*

New Products Module on first page

Displays the amount of products displayed in the New products section at the home page.

New Products Module To List Per Row on First Page

The amount of products per row in the New products section at the website home page.

New Products Module Length of Description

Length of the product short description for the products in the New Products section at the website home page.

Search Results To List Per Row

The amount of products per row displayed in the the search results listing.

Search Results Length of Description

Length of the product short description at the search results listing page.

New Products Listing Length of Description

Length of the product short description at the What’s New page.

Special Products To List Per Row

Amount of products per row at the Specials page.

Special Products Length of Description

Length of the product short description at the Specials page.

Best Sellers in Slider

Amount of Bestseller products displayed in the slider.

Also Purchased To List Per Row

Amount of products displayed in the Also purchased module.

Side Box Length of Description

Length of the product short description for the products displayed in the sidebar modules (What’s New, Specials, Reviews).

Bestsellers Length of Description

Length of the product short description for the products displayed in the Bestseller module.

New image configuration options are available under Admin -> Configuration -> Images. Non-default options are marked with bold font.

Box Image Width and Box Image Height

Product image dimensions for the sidebar modules (What’s New, Specials, Reviews) in pixels.

Subcategory Image Width and Subcategory Image Height

Subcategory images dimensions in pixels.

Product Info Image Width and Product Info Image Height

Product image dimensions for the Product Info page.

Show Image Category in Title

Allows you to set if you want to display the category image in the category title.

Image Category in Title Width and Image Category in Title Height

Category image dimensions displayed in the category title.

Nivo slider

New OsCommerce 2.3 templates are provided with the implemented jQuery image slider – Nivo Slider. Without any additional programming you can display the products, banners or some content blocks in a fancy way. The slider configuration options are available under Admin -> Configuration -> Nivo Slider.

Effect

Allows you select the desired slider effect. Experiment with available options to acquire the most desired result.

Delay

Delay between the slider in milliseconds.

Box Columns and Box Rows

Amount of rows and columns for the box based animation effects (boxRandom, boxRain, boxRainReverse, boxRainGrow, boxRainGrowReverse).

ControlNav

Select if you want to display the slider controls (1, 2, 3 etc)

Navigation

Select if you want to display the slider navigation buttons (prev, next)

Slices

Number of slices that are used for the animation 2*.

Please reduce the number of slices if you have performance issues.

HoverPause

Select if you want to have the slider animation stopped when you put the cursor over the slider.

sDelay

Delay between the slices animation in milliseconds.

DirectionNavHide

Select if you want to display the slider navigation buttons (prev, next) only on hover (when you put the cursor over the slider).

StartSlide

Select the number of the initial slide.

PrevText and NextText

Text or symbols that would be displayed as prev and next navigation buttons.

Boxes

In new OsCommerce 2.3 templates you have the option to display the sidebar boxes at the specific pages. The option is available under Admin -> Modules -> Boxes. select any module, click Edit and at the bottom of the right column you’ll see the option.

There are also several new boxes available that give you more options to configure your store layout.

Banner in Left or Right Column, Banner in Header, Banner Set in Content

Several banner boxes that allow you to display banners in various positions.

Currencies in Header or Footer

select if you want to display currency selector in header or footer.

Languages in Header or Footer

Select if you want to display the language selector in the header or footer.

Main Menu in Footer

Select if you want to display the main menu in the footer.

Main Menu in Header

Select if you want to display the main menu in the header.

Nivo Slider

Select if you want to display the Nivo Slider box on the page.

Search in Header

Select if you want to display the search box in the header.

Shopping Cart in Header

Select if you want to display the shopping cart box in the header.

User Menu in Header

Select if you want to display the user menu in the header.

Customer Greeting in Content

Select if you want to display the customer greeting box on the page.

Welcome

Select if you want to display the welcome message on the page. 3*

Manufacturer Info

Displays the product Manufacturer info.

Product Social Bookmarks

Allows to display the social bookmarks buttons.

Some boxes have the option Content Placement that allows you to display the boxes in various positions. For example Manufacturer Info box could be placed into the Left Column, Right column or Product page.
