PrestaShop 1.6.x. How to remove language specification (/en) from URL

This tutorial will show you how to remove language specification (/en) from URL in PrestaShop 1.6.

In PrestaShop engine language specification appears when you have more than one language enabled. In order to remove language specification, you need to disable other languages.

1. Open your PrestaShop admin panel and navigate to Localization > Languages. Check the checkboxes next to each language, which you won’t be using. Click Bulk actions button and select Disable selection option:

   

2. Now your website URL doesn’t have language specification – /en:
