VirtueMart 2.x. How to manage Featured and Special products

This tutorial shows how to manage Featured and Special products in VirtueMart 2.x.

In order to set product as Featured you should perform the following:

1. Open admin section, go to Components->Virtuemart. Click on Products tab, open product you are going to set as featured.

2. On the Product Information tab Check On Featured option and save the changes. We have added product to featured products.

   

3. If your template displays featured products on home page or in a subpages column, go to Extensions -> Module Manager and open Featured products module. In module settings you can change layout and other options. Please note that not all settings can be applicable in your template.

   

In order to set product as Special you should perform the following:

1. Open admin section, go to Components->Virtuemart. Click on Products tab, open product you are going to set as Special.

2. In Product pricing section you need to set price Override, select Overwrite final or Overwrite price to be taxed. Save the changes.

   

3. You will see Special price for product now.
