VirtueMart 3.x. How to change the product title length limit set for database table field

Hello, this time we will learn how to extend the title length of your product.

Originally it is rather limited, that is why in case you need to change it, we will need to extent it in the SQL.

In order to get that working, you need to follow the steps, listed below.

1. Enter your PhpMyadmin tool, which can be found on your hosting server.

2. Find the database your Joomla is connected to.

3. After that find the table named jos_virtuemart_products and then open the structure tab.

   

4. Here you need to find the product_name, its value should be changed from the char() to text.

   

You can enter your VirtueMart admin panel and check the products, the title that you can enter is much longer now.
