This tutorial shows how to manage background video in WordPress Cherry theme.

WordPress. How to manage background video (based on Cherry options)

In order to upload new video, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Cherry Options – Media settings tab of WordPress Dashboard to check what video formats are supported.

  2. To add new video file, open the Media – Add New tab of admin panel and click the Select File button. When new file is uploaded, click the Edit link next to the file to check correct file name. Copy the file name and format in the File URL field:

  3. Next, go back to the Cherry Options – Media settings tab. Insert file name and format into the appropriate field. Make sure to empty fields with other formats: if you’re uploading video in MP4 format, the WEBM and OGV field should remain empty:

  4. Save changes. Refresh Home page with Ctrl/Cmd+F5 hotkeys to preview changes.
