WordPress Troubleshooter. How to deal with errors in Customize section

The error text usually looks like this:

Warning: require_once(/hermes/bosweb25c/b2554/ipw.devocionalsagradocor/public_html/wp-content/themes/CherryFramework/admin/style-switcher/controls/layout-picker.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hermes/bosweb25c/b2554/ipw.devocionalsagradocor/public_html/wp-content/themes/CherryFramework/framework_options.php on line 1243 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/hermes/bosweb25c/b2554/ipw.devocionalsagradocor/public_html/wp-content/themes/CherryFramework/admin/style-switcher/controls/layout-picker.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php-5.3.13/lib/php’) in /hermes/bosweb25c/b2554/ipw.devocionalsagradocor/public_html/wp-content/themes/CherryFramework/framework_options.php on line 1243

In order to fix the Customize section Error in WordPress, please perform the following steps:

  1. Please open this link in your browser.

  2. Locate the framework_options.php file and click it to open:

  3. Select (highlight) all code from the file, right click it, select ‘Copy’ or click CTRL+C to copy the file content.

  4. Navigate to Appearance – Editor in WordPress Dashboard, select Cherry at the top right and open the default framework_options.php file from the list of files on the right of the page:

  5. Replace the framework_options.php file code with the code copied from this link earlier and click Update File’.

With that done you will no longer have the error in the Customize section of your Admin and will be able to use this Customizer option for editing.
